Private land owners host our community garden spaces. These folks have the space and in some cases the infrastructure already in place. They may choose to participate but are not obligated. If you have a private or community space to garden; please email us!

Participation is free, requiring just 5 hours per month of work in the garden (s) of your choice. One hour is a monthly group meeting to plan, prioritize, and discuss needs and wants. Our gardens are NOT CSAs (community sustained agriculture) and we do not rent out plots, we simply grow and harvest food together.

We come together at harvest time to share in the harvest and also donate surplus that garden participants have had their fill of. We look for food bank providers that might have an interest in co writing community grants. We are a 501 (c)(3) non profit.

If your home school co-op is looking for a place for kids to get dirty while reinforcing earth science, math, biology, plant science, and self-sufficiency we welcome you here. Please email us to start a conversation.

Follow us on Facebook to watch for registration to open for our 2026 garden season. We will garden from spring through late fall.

T-shirts come in four spring colors and have the Foundation name on the back with a tribute to our community gardens. These T-shirts and our original Carhart Brown with the map of Appalachia on back are $25 through the website or $20 at any event.
